Boyz N'Noise Friday 2:45-3:30 with Carlos Rasmussen

Boyz N'Noise is a hip hop style class for male dancers ages 5-10.

All Boys and lots of Noise! This class is a great introduction to the dance scene for the little guys in your life. A combination of multiple hip hop genres for the beginner or experienced athlete.

This class will incorporate movement games, technique strengthening and coordination building combinations. This class is a great opportunity to improve fine motor skills and strengthen coordination. Boyz N'Noise has been successful in consistently educating and refining big energy social skills.

Creative movement Saturday 9:00-9:45 with Lindsey Shields

Creative movement is a class that introduces dance to the beginning dancer ages 2.5-4.

This class will introduce the love of dance through song, safe age appropriate movement and class structure based around ballet foundations. With creative movement dance games and exercises your dancer will benefit from physical, visual and social stimulation in their introductory dance class. Fabulous and friendly, this class is the highlight of our Saturday mornings at flex.

Drop-Ins are welcome until March 1st.

"HTCome dance with me"™ Saturday 10:30-11:30 with Lindsey Shields

"HTCome dance with me"™ is a class intended for young dancers ages 7-9.

This class is a great fit for a dancer who appreciate a variety of movement within a 60 minute class setting. This class explores Hip Hop, Tap, and Contemporary dance genres all within a 60 minute window. This class is designed to stimulate the multifaceted dancer as well as introduce three very different, very captivating genres of dance. HTC is funky, fun and welcomes the high energy student looking to do it all. This is a great option for young dancers transitioning from a children's combination class.

Experienced dancers welcomed but not required.

Hip Hop Kidz Wednesday 3:45-4:30 with Lindsey Shields

Hip Hop Kidz is a beginning to advanced beginning hip hop class for ages 6-8.

This class is a fun and energetic introduction to hip hop choreography, history, rhythm, and musicality. Hip Hop Kidz is a wonderful way to explore music and dance for the funky fresh kiddo in your life.

Each student will develop more intricate motor skills as the season progresses. Fun movement games help learning basic hip hop movement more fun for everyone. If you know a groovy little one this is the class for them.

Hip Hop Kidz Friday 1:00-1:45 with Kenady Conforth

Hip Hop Kidz is a beginning to advanced beginning hip hop class for ages 3-5.

This class is a fun and energetic introduction to hip hop choreography, history, rhythm, and musicality. Hip Hop Kidz is a wonderful way to explore music and dance for the funky fresh kiddo in your life.

Musical Theater Friday 1:45-2:45 with Kenady Conforth

Musical Theater is designed for young movers and theater buffs ages 5-10. Older students are welcome to attend this class if they so desire.

This form of performance art combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. The story and emotional content of a musical – humor, pathos, love, anger – are communicated through the words, music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole.

Students will get a taste of current musical theater choreography from our local Shedd performer and choreographer, Miss Kenady Conforth. As well as lessons in voice, acting technique and a advanced beginning level dance technique.

Although musical theater overlaps with other theatrical forms like opera and dance, it may be distinguished by the equal importance given to the music as compared with the dialogue, movement and other elements. Since the early 20th century, musical theatre stage works have generally been called, simply, musicals.

Pre-Ballet Monday 5:30-6:30 with Sarah McCarthy

Pre-Ballet is a ballet class for children and youth dancers ages 6-10.

This class is a prelude to formal ballet instruction & introduces mature ballet techniques through a structured progression that emphasizes creativity & group interaction.

Pre-Ballet allows new curious dancers to start at the beginning, a time when fine & gross motor skills are becoming more refined. This class will focus on and emphasis proper vocabulary, placement, technique, weight distribution & follow through.

Although Ballet can be slightly intimidating this class is designed to bring joy and passion in a positive setting welcoming all body types. Everyone deserves to experience this beautiful and challenging art form. A perfect class for anyone looking to take their first step.
This class is recommend for dancers advancing from a children's combination class or looking to try a 60 minute class of all ballet techniques. 

Staying with the tradition of ballet education and technique a mandatory uniform is required.

Hair should be secured in a bun, up and off the face and neck.

Dancers identifying as female wear black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes.

Dancers identifying as male wear fitted white dance tee shirt, black tights and black ballet shoes.

Gender non-conforming or gender-questioning dancers should wear the dress requirements that makes them feel most comfortable.

Time Steppin'TuTus™ is a ballet & tap combination class for ages 5-7.

This class gives young dancers an opportunity to explore both genres of dance, ballet & tap. Dancers will showcase the exciting differences of each discipline. The combination allows dancers to maintain strong technical foundations with an emphasis on fun & friends.

This high energy class starts with Tap as students will take pride in changing their own shoes for a quick in classtransition to ballet slippers. Time Steppin'TuTus™ is designed to teach proper dance technique while keeping dancers focused & stimulated.

At flex Studios we add a bit of creative choice into class, allowing the students to gain a deeper appreciation and love for the art of dance. Each faculty member takes pride in teaching each student about self expression.

This class is recommend for a dancer that has had experience in either Tippy Toes N'Tap or Creative Movement.

Tippy Toes N' Tap™ is a ballet & tap combination class for ages 3 & 4.

This class offers new young dancer an opportunity to explore the dance genres of ballet, tap, jazz and creative movement all in one class. Tippy Toes N' Tap™ is designed to gracefully move through all multiple disciplines of dance to ensure a young dancer ages 3 & 4 can stay focused and stimulated for the entire duration.

This high energy class starts with Tap as students will take pride in changing their own shoes for a quick in class transition to ballet slippers.

Tippy Toes N' Tap encourages focus on creativity, self assertion, confidence, fun and friends through movement exercises games as well as helps new dancers find the medium of dance they connect to.

Youth Modern Monday 6:30-7:30 with Angela Dunham

Youth Modern is a advanced beginner modern based class for dancers ages 7-12.

This class is designed to establish Modern technique foundations as well as accommodate the young dancer dedicated to self growth and introspection. Youth Modern is designed for the young dancer to enjoy and train in the beautiful dance genres of Modern, Contemporary and Ballet techniques.

Modern is a form of contemporary movement employing a special technique for developing the use of the entire body in movements expressive of abstract ideas. Youth Modern allows young, motivated dancers to find their voice and movement style in a safe and creative environment. This class is heavy on the creation of improv movement and guided improve exercises.

Bare foot training preferred.

Advanced Tap Friday 8:30-9:30 with Amanda Clark

Advanced Tap is specifically designed for the demonstration and preservation of one of the most influential art forms in American history, Tap.

These advanced dancers have come together from around the community to show what it really means to be a tap dancer. Each performer brings unique skill and personality when it comes to creating their own rhythmic voice. The fluidity of their technique is combining it with the body's movement, presenting each member with the musical challenges of a dancer as well as a musician. Though tap dance has transcended many generations, advanced tap will perform the very best of all styles ranging from classical broadway jazz and soft shoe to the more modern styles of funk, rock, and hip hop.

Blending of past and present, advanced tap strives to leave the audience with a better understanding and appreciation of tap dancing and the history behind it.

Drop-Ins are welcome until March 1st.

All members are required to enroll in our ACH automatic tuition and adhere to tuition studio polices. Concert fees are due February 1st and automatically deducted via ACH platform.

Beginning Ballet Sunday 1:00-2:30 with Caitlin Christopher

Beginning Ballet is a ballet class for mature youth students as well as teen and adult dancers.

This class allows new dancers, or dancers who have taken a break from their technique, to start at the beginning. The beautiful discipline of Ballet and its foundations can take years of committed training. This class will focus and emphasis proper vocabulary, placement, technique, weight distribution and follow through.

Although Ballet can be slightly intimidating this class is designed to bring joy and passion in a positive setting welcoming all body types. Everyone deserves to experience this beautiful and challenging art form. A perfect class for anyone looking to take their first step.

This class is recommend for dancers advancing from Youth Ballet. Youth dancers must have a mature class etiquette to participate.

Hip Hop "Ya Don’t Stop" is a hop hop class for youth dancers ages 9-12.

This class is a exciting and high energy exploration of the many different components of Hip Hop dance and music. At flex Studios we start at the beginning. Foundations of hip hop dance are necessary to ensure proper technique, confidence, creative expression and safety for the dancer.

This class is a high energy class with an emphasis on the education of Hip Hop movement and history. This class is the perfect choice for a dancer that is looking to start a new gene of dance or continue their hip hop education from Hip Hop Kidz.

Intermediate Contemporary Jazz Wednesday 6:30-7:30 with Cecilia Woods

Intermediate Contemporary Jazz is designed for the youth or teen dancer to train in classic jazz technique while performing contemporary style choreography.

This class is a great way to combine classic jazz technique with a choreographers flare. Intermediate Contemporary Jazz was added this season with the intention of advancing our youth contemporary dancers.

Before the 1950s, jazz dance related to dance styles that originated from African American vernacular dance. Jazz dance was an integral part of jazz until the end of the swing era in the late 1940s and is a trending class with a contemporary twist taught by the talented Miss Cecilia Woods.

This class is recommend for a dancer with more than 2 years of intermediate jazz or contemporary movement training. Newer teen students are welcome.

Intermediate Hip Hop Tuesday 6:00-7:00 with Lindsey Shields

Intermediate Hip Hop is a youth & teen hip hop class.

This class is designed for the hip hop dancer looking to broaden their technique and foundation. Intermediate Hip hop welcomes teen dancers looking to try something new and youth dancers looking to advance their hip hop technique. This class will improve your hip hop skill set, experiment in contemporary hip hop choreography, visit breaking transitions and much more.

We welcome all motivated dancers looking to refine body mind connection with this physically challenging class. This will be the push you need to maintain choreography and transition from beginning hip hop dancers to the intermediate level.

Intermediate Tap is a tap class intermediate tappers ages 9+.

This class is taught by the incredible Miss Amanda Clark, a great class for teen & adult tappers. Her experience and abilities not only make her a talent performer but impressive tap educator. Miss Amanda is one of the original flex Studios Faculty and we love sharing her with you. This high energy class is sure to keep your feet moving incorporating both classic traditional tap elements and unique rhythms. This class will brush up on all basic tap steps as well as adding in multiple time steps, pull backs, wings while focusing on foot dexterity and speed.

Please inquire for class placement. Tap shoes are required.

Tap Basic is a class designed for movers new to tap and tappers looking to hone and refine their skills.

This tap class will lay the foundation of classic tap all while combining dynamic rhythm tap exercises. Tap Basics is a fun and unique way to experience mind body connection. flex Studios offers a strong tap program and we are always looking for new hoofers to join. Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Two major variations on tap dance exist: rhythm (jazz) tap and broadway tap.

Drop-Ins are welcome until March 1st. This class welcomes ages youth through adults.

Youth Contemporary Thursday 5:00-6:00 with Lindsey Shields

Youth Contemporary is a contemporary technique class for youth dancers ages 9-12.

This class is a strong foundation to a students future in contemporary dance at flex Studios. This class has a focus on proper traditional technique while allowing the individual dancer to find their own dance voice. Youth contemporary allows a young dancer to explore contemporary dance technique as well as dance improvisation and self expression.

Contemporary dance emerged in the 1950's as the dance form that is combining modern dance elements and classical ballet elements to create an extremely expressive and beautiful blended medium of dance.

Flex creates a safe environment to foster growth and trust, an environment that every dancer needs to be successful.

This class is designed for the advanced dancer. Instructor approval and placement required. She brings a new quirky look to this modern genre of dance. Her classic training in technique and unique approach to teaching make this a safe and fun experience.

Beginning Ballet is a ballet class for mature youth students as well as teen and adult dancers.

This class allows new dancers, or dancers who have taken a break from their technique, to start at the beginning. The beautiful discipline of Ballet and its foundations can take years of committed training. This class will focus and emphasis proper vocabulary, placement, technique, weight distribution and follow through.

Requirements for being placed on pointe are as follows: posture, strong feet, legs, and ankles, strong arches, no bad habits that may hinder their ability to be on pointe, a good technique base, and the ability to perform all of the class exercises correctly. Intermediate Contemporary Jazz is designed for the youth or teen dancer to train in classic jazz technique while performing contemporary style choreography.

Tap Basic is a class designed for movers new to tap and tappers looking to hone and refine their skills.

Modern Improv II is a modern dance class for teen and adult movers.

This class is designed for the teen and adult dancer looking to dig deeper into the movement and internal spirit of self expression.

The beautiful technique of Modern dance allows dancers to find their inner voice. This class is designed to elaborate on Modern technique foundations as well as accommodate the dancer dedicated to self growth and introspection.

Modern is a form of contemporary movement employing a special technique for developing the use of the entire body in movements expressive of abstract ideas.

Drop-Ins are welcome until March 1st.

All members are required to enroll in our ACH automatic tuition and adhere to tuition studio polices. Concert fees are due February 1st and automatically deducted via ACH platform.

Women's empowerment is the process in which women elaborate and recreate what it is that they can be, do, and accomplish in a circumstance that they previously were denied.

Tap Basics Thursday 6:00-7:00 with Lindsey Shields

Tap Basic is a class designed for movers new to tap and tappers looking to hone and refine their skills.

This tap class will lay the foundation of classic tap all while combining dynamic rhythm tap exercises. Tap Basics is a fun and unique way to experience mind body connection. flex Studios offers a strong tap program and we are always looking for new hoofers to join. Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Two major variations on tap dance exist: rhythm (jazz) tap and broadway tap.

Drop-Ins are welcome until March 1st. This class welcomes ages youth through adults.
