Announcing flex Studios sixth annual benefit dance concert FLEX-A-TOM-I-CAL, March 23rd, 2019, 7:00 p.m. at Lane Community College Ragozzino Performance Hall. This human anatomy themed dance concert will take the audience on an interactive, physical and metaphysical ride through the human body. flex Studios is excited to present additional elements such as spoken word, video, live music and photography to incorporate a multimedia artistic experience for our viewers. All proceeds will be directly donated to the amazing local non-profit, Community Supported Shelters. In the process of working with Community Supported Shelters, it is clear that this show is about much more than the human body but includes humanity itself.
A note from the directors/producers:
Our initial directive in producing this concert was to represent all human anatomy inclusively in an industry that can be unfairly exclusive. The mentality that a dancer had to be the right size, color, ability, age, etc., to work in this industry has been a barrier for many talented and motivated movers. Several gifted choreographers and performers are working hard to break down this stigma nationally and internationally. We hope you join us for a night of reflection into the magnificence that is the vessel of the human body and the dynamics of humanity itself.
